学科组主要从事开花植物繁殖生态学研究工作。致力于从繁殖成功的角度理解植物花的多样性、从植物-传粉者相互作用认识群落中开花植物的构成及其动态变化、从植物-传粉者相互作用的式样和机制出发构建更具生态价值的人工群落等方面的研究。

2004年6月 毕业于武汉大学生命科学学院，获博士学位；
2004年6月 进入武汉大学生命科学学院工作，先后担任讲师、副教授、硕士生导师；
2009年1月 进入中国科学院武汉植物园，任副研究员，硕士生导师；

2015年3月-2016年3月 Department of Biology, University of Maryland, College Park, Visiting Scholar;
2015年6月 Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory, Crested Butte, Colorado, Visiting Scientist;
2017年9月至今 中国科学院武汉植物园、研究员.
